Yuji Kaida

Yuji Kaida is a Japanese illustrator who was born in Hyogo Prefecture in 1953.

Having been fascinated by monster and special effects films as a child, he was actively involved in doujinshi (fan publication) while still in art college in Kyoto.

After graduating, he became a professional illustrator and worked on numerous high-profile properties, including Godzilla, Macross, Gundam, Patlabor and Tomy’s Zoids.

Kaida produces and creates monster and robot characters for books, magazines, and comics as well as packaging artwork for video games.

This book presents his works for Gundam.
